Walang Hanggan June 1st

OMG!!!!

Tonight's episode was so heavy, heartwarming yet heartbreaking at the same time.  I couldn't contain my emotions.  I was literally on the edge, holding on, scared and excited on what's going to happen next.

I salute the writers, director and actors in this TV Series.

Really good actors.  My heart jumps out of joy and crushes when hurt.  The lines and the acting often seem more real than reel.

I've never been so attached to a TV Series.  Yes, I do follow and did follow series, but have never felt so emotional like I have felt with Walang Hanggan.

I MUST watch the next episode.

If schedule did not permit me to do so, I go online and watch it there.

It touches the heartstrings... and it definitely touched mine.

Coffee and Thoughts

I have successfully said NO to coffee these past few weeks.  I was able to control my cravings to the point of not having the slightest opportunity to even think about it.

Unfortunately, events that surfaced on numerous yesterdays, I gave myself reasons to start drinking coffee again.

I do not know what coffee beans are made of.  But as far as I am concerned, drinking a cup of good coffee gives me the kick my neurons need.  I get to think.  And I get to reason out.  I get to understand.

I feel like coffee gets to hear and understand my thoughts, even if I do not say it.

It makes me feel better.

My Piggy is Preggy

To help add to our financial supply and demands, I ventured on agriculture. I did not buy a farm or anything but bought pigs to raise, breed and sell.

Early this morning, my pig-care-taker told me that the vet arrived and that my pig had an ultrasound.  Lo and Behold, we were told that my pig has 20 live piglets inside her.  No wonder my piggy seems tired most of the time.  She is due in July.

Hubby and I are excited for the piglets to come.  Hopefully, all piglets are alive, but I know that doesn't happen all the time.  15-18 live piglets are enough since my piggy only has 18 nipples.

Though I spent a little more than expected (I didn't realize that raising pigs cost money), I know that it will all be worth it in the end.

Chapped lips

For days now, I've noticed that my lips are starting to feel rough.  I then realized that my lips are chapping.

I know that chapped lips are a sign of dehydration.  Lack of water in our body dries our skin, and our lips that it starts to feel rough.

I am not a big fan of lip balm nor lip gloss.  Putting one on makes me feel uncomfortable.  My lips feel heavy and thick.  So using one is out of the question.

And since I recognize that chapped lips are the first sign of dehydration, drinking lots of water is the first thing I should be doing.  And drinking water it is.

Doctors and experts say that we have to drink 8 glasses of water a day.  That would mean, approximately 2 liters of water a day.  I looked at a 2 liter bottle and gasped.  That much water is what I need?! I feel like I would float anytime soon if I drink that much water. But since I know that I am not in the position to bargain the amount of water I need, I started gulping that much fluid.

And after 2 days of chapped lips and water intake, I was rehydrated and chapped lips free.  I was relieved.

Maxi Dress for Everyone

My mom is going to Hawaii to attend my cousin's wedding.  As told by the groom's family, there will also be a luau party afterwards.  So my mom decided to look for maxi dress for her.

Since the sun is scorching and is unbearable, we decided to go to the mall early and buy gifts for the rest of the family in America.

We were glad when we say really nice maxi dresses in Landmark for only P400-700.  We were so overjoyed that we bought maxi dresses for every female member of the family that will be attending the wedding.  But of course, we, who will be left behind, did not want to go empty handed.  We each bought one for us too.

My husband loves it when I wear dresses and skirts.  He especially loves it when I wear maxi dresses.  He says I look chic, stylish and sexy. hahaha.  Love your own! :)

I am extremely glad of the dress I bought.  The length was just enough for my 5'7" height and the fabric used was smooth, silky and flowy.  It was a perfect summer dress for a really warm weather and for a luau party (which I hope I could attend. But... Best Wishes to my dear cousin).

A lot hotter than desert countries?

Manila, Philippines: April 19, 2012
It is really really really hot.  I honestly couldn't think of any superlative adjectives that can describe how hot it is in the Philippines right now.  And I am not excited nor am I happy with the idea that, according to PAGASA, summer in the Philippines hasn't arrived yet.  Expect the month of May to be hotter than the temperature we have now.

Riyadh, Saudi Arabia : April 19, 2012
I feel for the air conditioning units we have now.  It seems to be working doubly hard to cool the room down but it seems that their efforts are going down the drain.  No matter how hard the units try, the room still feels warm.

Dubai, UAE: April 19, 2012

It is surprising and disappointing to know that the temperature we have now is hotter than countries known to have the hottest temperature - middle east - the desert countries.  I can't take the heat anymore.

Missing 2 VBS

I am missing two VBS this week.  2 churches have invited me to be part of their Vacation Bible School, however, due to certain personal reasons, I have to decline both invitation.

Hopefully, when taking care of my little one is easier, it would probably be easier for me to volunteer and help out with VBS again.  As of now, my little boss needs all the attention and care he needs.

I'm sure, when he's old enough to join VBS, helping out would be easier again.

American Idol's Jessica Sanchez Elimiated but Saved by the Judges

This is really a shocker!  I wasn't expecting that she will even be at the bottom 3 this early let alone be eliminated.

I haven't seen the show as I still have to wait for 6 hours before showtime here in the Philippines so below is the blog entry of Jays Alvarez of  Mondo di Musica which I copied and reposted in my blog.

Jays Alvarez of Mondo di Musica wrote:

Is a shocking "American Idol" result still shocking when Nigel Lythgoe and Ryan Seacrest tweet about it hours in advance? Regardless of whether or not the outcome of this week's vote was technically a surprise, it's safe to assume that it'll be a conversation starter, since America's choices were undeniably baffling.

Without further ado, the next contestant to be eliminated was ...

No one.

In the bottom three were Jessica Sanchez, Elise Testone and Joshua Ledet. (WTF, America?) Jessica was the contestant with the lowest number of votes, and though she was entitled to sing for the judges' save, she only managed to get a few bars into the song before the judges took the stage, with Jennifer Lopez demanding that she hand over the mic. "This is crazy! Go sit down -- yes, we're using the save," she insisted.

After a brief huddle, Randy Jackson spoke for his fellow judges, and admonished America for their lack of votes for Jessica. "We are saving Jessica without any doubt," he reiterated, before adding, "Let me just say this ... This girl is one of the best singers in America, ever, are you kidding me? Please, everybody, please, vote for the best, it's about finding the best. C'mon!" You tell 'em, Randy.

I hate to say "I told you so" about the systemic racist and sexist voting patterns in relation to this show, but the results certainly proved that, without the judges' intervention, Jessica Sanchez and Joshua Ledet probably had no chance of winning this season, while Colton and Phillip are likely to remain our final two.

The rest of the hour was padded by yet another awkward group number, with the Top 7 tackling Pink's "Raise Your Glass," before "Idol" alums James Durbin and Jennifer Hudson performed new songs. In Durbin's case, I use the term "performed" loosely, since he was mostly screeching like someone had given him a tonsillectomy with a chainsaw. (I was certainly tempted)

Filipinos around the world! Let's help this girl!

Thankful for Skype

Having a long distance relationship, especially if it's your husband, is a little difficult.  Ok. To be honest, it really is difficult.  Having to spend hours, days, weeks and months apart is very challenging.

Thank God for Skype.  For a relatively low charge, and more often than not, FREE, skype has made distance seem like just feet apart.

My 18 month old son probably knows and is now familiar with skype's interface as logging in and calling seem to excite him, repeating "daddy! daddy!" over and over again.

Really, I am grateful that there is Skype.  It really has made things easier and brighter.
